monkYi 涵

Julia aka monkYi (formerly fpmonkey) is a muralist and visual artist from Toronto, with years of experience living and creating abroad. As a natural explorer, monkYi’s expressions are richly diverse, exploring different concepts, connections and narratives. Her work is colourful, fantastical and oftentimes whimsical, infused with elements of her Chinese culture from which her roots are. In Toronto, she has worked with StART Street Art Toronto, Steps Public Art, as well as a number of local BIAs and businesses. Outside of art, monkYi is an anthropology graduate and is certified in Montessori education.
